Emily's Maternity Session

Emily is one of my best friends from high school and we've known each other going on 13 years now! She is an incredibly gifted individual,  from jewelry making to fashion design and interior decorating, she can do it all and then some. While I was back home in Louisiana preparing for the wedding, Ems asked me if I would shoot her maternity photos if I had the time...and of course I jumped at the chance!

And of course I couldn't resist taking some detail shots of Emily's shoes!



FIRST POST!!!!!

So yeah, as you've probably guessed by now this is my FIRST post on my brand, spankin' new blog! And of course, every new blog requires an introduction, so here ya go:

I currently live in the midwest, but at heart I'm a South Louisiana girl, born and raised. I JUST got married almost two months ago to an AH-MAZ-ING guy and am still in the process of moving all of my stuff in to our house!!!Fortunately my husband and I met because we were next-door neighbors (I was living with my parents), so my stuff isn't that hard to move!

Together we have two dogs, Smokey and Patches, and a bunny named Dust. My handsome, slightly mischievous cat Bumble still resides at my parents' house. He has a huge crush on my mom's dog and I haven't had the heart to separate them yet! Here's a picture of my Bumble-boy:

All of this intro stuff leads me to the whole point of creating a blog. Like many other people I wanted a way to keep others up-to-date with what I've been up to lately, muse over topics I personally find interesting, talk about my travels...you know, the usual blog-ish stuff. But this will also be a space to share my photography, so expect to see a lot of photo posts in the future!!!
