Georgetown for the Holidays

Like I stated in my previous post, Jason and I spent our  New Years down in the Austin area, specifically Georgetown. This little town is just north of Austin, and bursting with just as much character! They had the historic town square decorated for the holidays, so I took the opportunity to snap a few pics. Unfortunately I forgot my tripod, so these were all taken handheld, at super high ISOs. *tear* I definitely learned a lesson, to ALWAYS make sure that I have my tripod when we go on a road trip!

The photo below is of a window display from a store on the square, just thought it was cute!

Happy New Year Y'all!

Instead of going to our usual party and fireworks display for New Years, we headed down to my sister's house in the Austin, TX area to meet up with my side of the family for a few days. While there we made tracks around Hill country and the San Antonio area. We had soooooo much fun, we didn't want to leave!

These next few photos were taken at the Missions in San Antonio, TX. I highly recommend spending some time at each of these unique and beautiful churches. So get off of the Riverwalk and go see what else San Antonio has to offer! :)

Obviously my husband has a great sense of humor! That's one of the many reasons I love him!

And of course I have to give a shout-out to one of my favorite restaurants in Hill country that I discovered on this trip- The Grist Mill in Gruene, Texas. I've loved every single thing I've ever ordered, and I highly suggest you stop if you're ever in the area.

They had their building beautifully lit for the holidays!
